Rafnir won't stop flying back and forth essentially nonstop, but (I forget sorry) you either have access to elven bungalows on this map for the first time, or you can just buy dwarf settlements, and a dorf with 2/3rds of his skills activated, is essentially unkillable. Just avoid putting towers up on the north/northwestish area until the rest of your town is squared up and you're taking out the dragonling spawns all around. and honestly, I tried restarting until I got an optimal start (no early hero deaths to spawn a graveyard, which can fullly hose you early if you're not prepped yet with tons of towers etc).īasically as I recall from earlier this week doing 10-20 retries before doing it right, the rafnir one was the easier one. I stated up Maj-2 the other day and rapidly remembered the annoying missions such as rafnir and the rat king ones. Once I got some economy going I just proceeded to build the rest of the buildings and units. Becasue of my tower placement, my rangers were able to level up without dying. I placed a wizard tower in the middle of the 3 of them ( its tough to get it in a position where it can protect all 3 buildings), turned it on immediately, and started to produce rangers and researched healing potions. I build a rangers guild east of the castle, and a Wizards guild and marketplace to the south and southeast of the castle as soon as the game started. remember to ask for tuesday if the police catch you, they'll know where that is. Once you're safe build another tower and put a 100 bounty on any bear dens or undead pits nearby. Create 2 wizards asap to buy time until the ranger is built, the rangers are good against rats. My way to beat this mission was to build a wizard tower south of the castle, a ranger tower to the east, and two towers in between. Sorry you didn't see me at tuesday when you bought a gekko costume. Once the towers are up you've stabilized and can then proceed as normal with expansion till you win. Start with one corner and only build one at a time, and expand with a blacksmith as you go. With your tax collectors safe and economy going you can move to stabilize the area around your castle with towers. From there Cleric and Warrior guilds to keep your heroes alive and give you bit of a sturdier frontline. Slam down Ranger's Guild, Market+Health Potions, and a Tower to help collect taxes from your isolated buildings. Rat King and Fafnir are your skillgate missions with Rat King punishing you for the mentality of building around your castle and forcing you to build away from it (about a Market and halfs worth), be it South East or South West. Am I the only one stuck on this mission?Įdit: Surprisingly still getting posts here despite this being posted in 2016 (though i'll admit 2016 me was an long since beaten Majesty 2 and its expansions so if any came here for help here's the breakdown. I feel this is such terrible game design as your not even given a chance to get a building up before all the peasant killers show up. Didn't complete the Rafnir mission if it matters, and why would it as i'll have to come back to this if i want to advance. I've tried looking up guides and everything for it and yet I still get killed at the start, as if suddenly all the guides are null and void. I am at my end for patience, this mission is killing this game for me.
